India won the second cricket match against England by 106 runs! This ties the series at 1-1. India's bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin, bowled well and helped India win. Bumrah bowled the best of any Indian fast bowler ever against England in India, taking 9 wickets in the match.

Jasprit Bumrah's match figures of 9-91 are the best by an Indian pacer against England at home. The previous best was 8-141 by L Amar Singh way back in 1934 at Chennai.

England kept batting in the second half, starting at 194 runs with 6 wickets down. Wicketkeeper Ben Foakes hit a boundary to reach 200 runs quickly, but England lost their captain soon after. A mix-up between the batsmen got Stokes run out for just 11 runs. Thanks to a great play by Shreyas Iyer, India took another wicket, leaving England at 220 runs with 7 wickets down.

England was 281/9, 118 runs away from a victory, but with just a wicket left. Everything now was dependent on Hartley, who was joined by James Anderson.

Bumrah got the final wicket, cleaning up Hartley for 36. England was bundled out for 292 and lost by 106 runs. Bumrah (3/46) and Ashwin (3/72) were the pick of the bowlers for India. Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh, and Axar Patel managed to get a wicket each.
